Red's Expectations for Coaches, Parents and  Players

 

Both parenting and coaching are rewarding but sometimes challenging vocations.

By establishing an understanding of each role, we are better able to accept the actions

of the other and provide greater benefit to our athletes.



EXPECTATIONS OF OUR COACHES​

-To communicate with parents and coaches before the start of the season the following topics in order to promote and        understanding of the direction of the program as well as the team:

                           ~  Reds Philosophy

                           ~  Codes of Conduct

                           ~  Practice Expectations

                           ~  Game Expectations

                           ~  Expectations for Injured Players

-To be role models who teach and promote good sportsmanship and respect for the game of baseball

-To help players set idealistic and realistic goals for team and individual performance

-To enforce Codes of Conduct, team, and player rules

-To stress team unity, hard work, dedication, and cooperation (212˚)

-To work cooperatively with other members of the coaching staff and support the entire Reds Organization

-To be professional in making decisions based on the best interest of the athletes that make up the team



EXPECTATIONS OF OUR ATHLETES

-To make and keep commitments
-To respect coaches, teammates, officials, parents, and Reds Baseball facilities and equipment at all times
-To be a leader and positive role model for all players in the organization by demonstrating good choices on and off the field
-To have a good attitude and a good work ethic—be “Coachable”
-To understand that God, family, and then school come before baseball
-To communicate with the coach directly about areas for improvement

 

 

EXPECTATIONS OF OUR PARENTS

-To display positive support for the athletes, coaches, and Reds Baseball administration---NOTHING erodes teamwork faster           than parents and/or athletes doubting the capabilities of their coaches.​

-To notify coaches in the event of an absence for any reason
-To demonstrate positive behavior and sportsmanship as fans
-To become partners in building the Reds Baseball Organization
-To work with the coach to maintain open communication
-To have realistic expectations for your child/children
-To help the Reds remain financially sound by making payments on time and assisting with fundraising to build the program
